The Earjeans 365 Collection: #275

Today's jewelry inspiration comes from me staring at several of the jewelry pieces I recently created. This bracelet is actually an experiment as I wasn't sure how it was going to look in real life.

This bracelet took 1 hour and 45 minutes to create. I am so happy with the way it turned out I haven't taken it off my wrist since I took the pictures, lol! I am definitely making more :)

The Earjeans 365 Collection: #276

Earring #276 is called "Yo Gabba Gabba!"

Yesterday we (Arrested Development) had the pleasure of performing for their live show at the Fox Theater in downtown Atlanta for both their 2pm and 5pm shows. Several thousand colorful children and parents flooded the Fox ready to dance and sing. We had a blast! The entire Yo Gabba Gabba cast and crew are a bunch of wonderful folks who enjoy what they do and I'm so happy to be a part of that.

So here's to DJ Lance, Muno, Brobee, Plex, Toodee, Foofa, and the gang.

I chose these colors to represent the color of each of the main characters:
Red-Muno
Green-Brobee
Yellow- Plex
Orange- DJ Lance
Blue- Toodee
Pink- Foofa

The Earjeans 365 Collection: #277

I call earrings #277 Geometry Girl.

Geometry wasn't my favorite subject in school, but putting these shapes and beads together puts them on my favorites list of pieces to wear!

What I really like about these is that I can complete the same process and each of the pieces will look slightly different. That is the beauty of handmade items :)

The Earjeans 365 Collection: #278

Earring #278 are called "Infinity x 2" and is inspired by several of my married friends. Seeing their relationships grow stronger and blossom through the good, bad, and indifferent seasons of life helps me hold on to the day I find my special someone. So I dedicate these earrings to all my married friends and my future husband where ever you may be :)

These earrings took about 20 minutes to create and I'm very happy with how simple and elegant they turned out. I'm definitely making a pair for myself.

The Earjeans 365 Collection: #279

I call earrings #279 "City Girl" inspired by a recent drive through downtown. (Sometimes you have to take a moment and appreciate where you are in that exact moment.)

Copper
And that's it, lol

I basically cut a super long piece of copper and wrapped it around a container I have in my workspace. Then I wrapped the wire so it would hold it's shape and created a loop for the ear hook.

The Earjeans 365 Collection: #280

I was inspired to create these earrings while I watched an episode of Project Runway. I love that show! My favorite designer for Season 9 is Anya Ayoung-Chee. I really liked the different pieces she designed and I would always watch the show to see what earrings she was going to wear next.

I enjoy blending traditional and non-traditional elements to create very unique jewelry and Earring #280 is no exception!

Design time for these earrings is 1 hour and boy was it worth it all! I think these are one of the longest earrings I've created. They are 11 3/4" long but really light weight. They would look perfect with a top that falls off the shoulder, tube or halter top or dress.

Hematite is a calming stone but also offers support for your hopes, dreams, wishes, and desires by encouraging you to "reach for the sun". Hematite reminds you that the only limitations that exist are those that you place on yourself. (http://www.sobrietystones.com)

I chose to make this piece a bracelet with these specific stones to symbolize a strong circle of support(hematite) centered around one special individual (black onyx) who has the power to achieve all the he desires. Go for it all!

The Earjeans 365 Collection: #282

As I made this next piece, I thought about all the people I have in my "encouragement circle". The encouragement circle is what I call my circle of friends and family that I exchange words or gestures of encouragement with. They are people I hold near and dear to me as they help me to be the woman I am.

The Earjeans 365 Collection: #283

This beautiful jewelry piece was pulled from the Earjeans vault to finally be released. I wrapped each of the beads with non tarnish jewelry wire and then used a sterling silver chain and clasp for the necklace. The earrings are small enough to wear in the office and the bracelet fits most sizes as it stretches for an easy fit.

My beautiful younger sister joined in on the "Thrifty gal" fun for our next jewelry creation!

Earrings #285 are called "Spiral girl" copper earrings.

I dedicate these to everyone woman who feels like sometimes they are just going in circles!

Copper wire (20g and 14g)

I was inspired by my own personal feelings when I created these lovelies. Sometimes we can get so wrapped up in the "doing" of life that we don't take time to relax, reflect, and re-evaluate what we do from day to day-making sure we're in line with our goals.

The design time for these was about 20 minutes and completing them really helped me to calm my feelings.

So here they are




If you feel yourself "going in circles" take a moment to relax and breathe. We can't do everything at once but we can accomplish anything one step at a time. Be patient with yourself and enjoy your journey of life every step of the way.

The Earjeans 365 Collection: #286

Our jewelry inspiration for this next piece comes from my recent trip to the thrift store.

After cleaning out the closets in my house, I made a trip to donate my unwanted items to the thrift store a few blocks away from my house. Dropping off several bags of stuff, I then walked up and down the isles for "stuff" to take home, ha!

There was one outfit that jumped out and yelled, "Please re-incarnate me into Earjeans" :) (OK, maybe I exaggerated that a little but you get the idea)

So Earrings #287 are called "Thrifty Gal"fabric earrings
But before I get started with the materials, here are a few fun shots of me wearing this 2-piece ens amble before giving it new purpose.

The first style of earrings I saw this fabulous print as were the 3 layered skirted fabric earrings. Once I completed them I knew I was going to be making more for myself, lol!

You can never go wrong with black, right? This set is a great piece to add to any jewelry collection as it is a great "go to" piece when you want simple elegance with just the right touch of style. I made the necklace a little longer so you can wear it as a single strand or a double.
