Sharing Creativity

I don't think I'll ever get tired of the creative process! Now that I only have a few months left in school, I'm finding more time to dream up, sketch out, and create new jewelry pieces.

*side note* Going back to school to earn my degree has been an eye-opening experience for me. I really believe it's one of the top 5 best decisions I've ever made. *end side note*

Anyhoo, here is my newest creation I'd like to share with you. It's called "The Gladiator"

I hope you like it. If so, please feel free to comment :)

Have a great day!!

Walk With Purpose & Style

Over the past few weeks I've encountered books and engaged in several conversations that all dealt with the same topic - having definite aim. We all have certain things we want to achieve in life. We may even have multiple things we wish to accomplish at the same time (I am so guilty of this). The problem is we don't always narrow our desires down to a single, specific target. My favorite motivational speaker, Zig Ziglar, says, "If you aim at nothing, you will hit it every time".

Having a specific target helps you to narrow your energy, thoughts, and focus down to that single idea. This focused intensity is the fuel that brings those desires to reality.

Try this experiment with me. Grab a piece of paper and write the following:

1) One short term goal you'd like to reach by the end of this year.
2) Why is reaching this goal so important and in what ways will achieving this goal benefit you, your family, your business, community, etc?
3) what are obstacles that would stop you from reaching this goal
4) how can you get around those obstacles so you can get what you want

After doing this, write one or two sentences that state exactly what you want, why you want it, and how you will overcome any obstacles to get what you want.

For example, my goal is to lose 20lbs by December 31. So my sentence reads like this:

"I will lose 20lbs by December 31, 2013 as I begin my journey to a healthier lifestyle so I can enjoy a long life filled with the love of family and friends. I will plan my meals and exercise times one week in advance to overcome my busy schedule and ensure I put my health and well being before my work".

Once you have your sentence, read it out loud everyday - first thing when you wake up and last thing before you go to bed. You can post it in your home or car as an additional reminder if you like. If you do this, you will begin to feel a difference in your attitude. Your thoughts will begin to direct you towards achieving your goals.

I would like to encourage us all to walk with a definite aim and purpose. And to do it with style!

Have an amazing Friday!

Timeless Beauty

True beauty is timeless. It can only come from within and can only be authentic. Let every decision you make be made with love, wisdom, honesty, and integrity. Be quick to forgive and slow to take offense so that your true beauty can be seen by all.

I Hope You Feel This Fabulous...

Good morning! I sure hope your day has started off great. My Friday wish for you is that you look and feel your absolute best from the inside out.

Everyday, we have the opportunity to make the difference in someone else's day with our attitude. And everything always falls into place when we have a great attitude.

So even if you woke up without a hair/makeup crew, a jaw-dropping dress from an international fashion designer, and a Beyonce' fan, know that someone thinks you are super awesome and capable of accomplishing anything ;)

Happy Friday,

Tasha

Never Lose Your Song...

Inspiration Short:

As this world continues to turn, we will always explore, discover, expand our knowledge, and change. This will forever and always be a part of life. But never allow someone or something to steal away the dreams you nurture inside of you. The only limits that really count, are the ones we place on ourselves.

So think big. Hold on. and Dream on...

Never Lose Your Song.

Sincerely,

Earjeans in Japan

For some, being comfortable in one's own skin can be a difficult task to undertake. Constantly feeling pressure from outside sources to make adjustments on one's outward appearance in an effort to "fit" society's definition of beauty takes frustration to an entirely new level. To keep up with constantly changing fashion trends and fads many people go to great lengths including maxing out credit cards and/or not paying certain bills on time-or at all!

While this has been an issue many people have experienced since the introduction of mass media, there is definitely a larger number of individuals who boldly rebel against this "idea of beauty" and have embraced their own unique "image of beauty". It is called self-acceptance. Taking the time to truly learn who you are as a person - the good, the bad, and the ugly - is a healthy way to take a good look at yourself and fall in love with the person you "see". If you see something you don't like, you have the power to change it. No longer are you looking for outside elements to define your beauty, outside elements simply showcase the beauty you already possess, from the inside out. This makes it so much easier to find clothing and accessories that you feel comfortable, confident, and capable of accomplishing anything you desire.

Over the next several months, I will be exploring the world of fashion as I travel around the world and I am excited about what I will discover. My first stop, Japan! I'm curious to see what fashion inspiration I will find walking the streets of Osaka and Tokyo. And I'll be sure to share them with you.

Until next time, keep having fun with fashion!
